Diazo Powder / Diazo Sensitiser Sachets
Diazo sachets are designed for direct addition to compatible MacDermid Alpha PLUS emulsions. The diazo powder dissolves easily in the emulsion with simple hand stirring, ensuring reliable and consistent sensitisation.
Each PLUS emulsion is normally supplied with a matching diazo sachet in the original packaging. For replacement or separate use, the diazo powder is also available as a standalone product. When handling diazo powder, always observe the applicable safety instructions.
Sachet size compatibility
- 3 g sachet → for 1 litre PLUS emulsion containers
- 12 g sachet → for 4 litre PLUS emulsion containers
- Important: PLUS 6000 requires a 20 g sachet Do not use a 12 g sachet for a 4 litre container of PLUS 6000.
Mixing instructions
- Cut the diazo sachet open using scissors (do not open with teeth).
- Add the diazo sensitiser directly to the emulsion. Do not dissolve the sensitiser in water and do not add additional water to the emulsion.
- Stir thoroughly for 2–3 minutes to ensure full sensitisation.
- Allow the emulsion to de-gas overnight before use.
