The 2CI 8700 ink series is an air-drying, high-gloss, two-component screen printing ink with excellent adhesion to a wide range of difficult substrates. The ink is also suitable for tunnel drying and for pad printing applications.
The ink is designed for use on pre-treated polyethylene and polypropylene, various polyester and acrylate substrates, ABS, melamine, PVC, aluminium, scoured copper, tinplate, certain grades of stainless steel, and most coated surfaces. In addition, the 2CI 8700 inks are suitable for applications on polyester, glass, and ceramic substrates, for which various adhesion additives are available. For retroreflective films, the transparent 2CI 8790 ink series is recommended.
Unlike many other two-component inks, tunnel drying is possible with the 2CI 8700 series. This significantly reduces dust contamination in the ink film compared to slow-drying inks. Combined with its excellent properties—such as strong adhesion to many substrates, good resistance to a wide range of chemicals, and optimal printing characteristics—this makes the 2CI 8700 series a truly universal ink system.
The 2CI 8700 inks can also be processed easily as single component ink.
